After the release and hefty price increase for the 2022 iPad Pros, there was a quick run overnight on all the available stock for the 2021 M1's in the UK - now there is none available as brand new from box stores. I'm refreshing the Apple refurbished store daily like a madman hoping to see stock for the M1 Pro's but still no luck.

Anyone got an inside line for when we might see stock (IF we see stock)?

I’m on the watch-out for this also - have an M1 11“pro and a mini 6. Using the 11“ as my main web browsing & email device, as well as note-taking for work. use the 6” for very quick notes / bullet-points, but prefer the 11” for proper notes during work meetings - several, each day. The mini is great though when I’m out and about for personal use. I had a 2018 12.9 with MK, and find myself wanting to go back to the larger size to potentially replace the 11” for desk-based activities, extensive meeting notes etc, but no need now or in near future for M2. Plan is to pick up a refurb M1 12.9 and use it for a few weeks and see if i want to pass the 11“ onto my wife or sell it. I know 11” would be the sweet-spot for me AS WELL as having the 12.9, but retaining the 11“ would be a total luxury….

John Lewis still have a few available in store, I got an 11" M1 128GB WiFi for £699 this week from Milton Keynes. They don't have them on display but if you ask they may have the model you're looking for.

If you know the model numbers you can search Google then get to the old product page on the JL website to see if they have any stock.

Box stores? I’m not sure but I got super lucky, first off by being state-side (no price increase) and secondly, found one from a hole-in-the-wall retailer brand new for a dirt cheap price. Sit down for a second: I got an M1 iPad Pro 12.9, 2 terabyte, cellular model for $1100 w/tax included, out the door! So it’s possible to find crazy deals still in this current economic environment .

Still no sign of the M1 refurbs. Are they that reliable?

No UK stock of brand new still - at the old prices, Amazon have been seen to charge the same as the M2 prices!

If your happy with the M1, have you not considered a iPad Air 5? Same performance unless you really want Promotion and quad speakers. Amazon still sell them at £569 brand new.
