Funny that the rumour mills ran dry the minute Apple announced that the line-up was set for the holidays.

As the premier Mac rumour site, I'd like to know if there's some feel for whether rumour sites are holding off to help Apple to a decent holiday quarter in these desperate economic times...

or (as I prefer)... this is proof that all rumours emanate from Apple (to create buzz) and they've turned off the tap, to smooth the holidays' sales?

The unibody machines leaked like a sieve for months before their release (photos and everything). But less than a month to MacWorld and there's nothing... no-thing, in spite of long overdue Mac Pro, iMac and Mac Mini updates, not to mention iLife 09 etc.

And with Dell releasing Core i7 machines, is there an opportunity for a mid-range desktop Mac that could use these?

What does everybody think? Suspiciously quiet so close to a MacWorld ??

The back of beyond.
I was thinking the same. Maybe we'll hear something this week.

There have been a lot of leaks ahead of recent events (iPod nanos, iPhone 3g's and the "brick story"), maybe they have been plugged. It would be nice to hear something though. It makes my predictions a lot easier!
