somewhere warm, dark, and cozy
Phone: I'm on a data-only plan, so, I use Google Hangouts for calls
App Store: haven't bought new apps in years
Settings: almost never change any settings, leave them on default
Home: don't have a smart home
iTunes Store: haven't bought music in years
Contacts: it's in the Phone app
Videos: I have YouTube app for that
Watch: sold mine long time ago and haven't looked back until watchOS 3
Stocks: yeah, everybody's favorite app
Tips: no comment
Find My Friends: I don't need to find them, they're in my face 24/7 on Facebook and Snapchat

FaceTime (Phone app manages that)
Find My Friends (I don't like that feature)
Stocks (Never used it)
Tips (Because I totally need tips...)
Videos (Again, always streaming)
Home (No HomeKit devices)
Mail (I use Outlook)
Voice Memos (Never used)
Compass (Never used)

Not planning to delete any stock app even though I can, yet.
Planning to remove:
Stock (never use)
Home (nothing I have can use it)
Videos (never use it)
Watch (no watch no need)

Uh, pretty much those. Maybe I will delete Music app. Maybe.

Stocks, tips, contacts... I had to re-add contacts though.. Because sometimes when I would click on the contact it would tell me it wasn't installed... I really wish Apple would just remove that app and make it the same thing as the phone app.

Tips, Stocks, Home, Watch. My Apple Watch is paired to my 6s, and I'm running the beta on my 5s so I have no need for the Watch app on this device.

How exactly does phone app manage FaceTime? Or am I getting it wrong?

iOS treats FaceTime like a phone call.

Just like Contacts, all the functionality of FaceTime is in the dialer, it just has a seperste app to access THAT specific function.

Lot 23E. Somewhere in Georgia.
Just curious, does deleting Apple's built in apps free up a noticeable amount of space?

Also, does it affect Siri functionality (for example, can Siri still tell me the weather without the stock weather app?)

All of the apps that are removable combined are designed to take up no more than 150mb (as I expected. I knew Apple's apps didn't take up that much space).

This is realistically a way to hide icons over actually freeing up space.

Space savings are negligible. Yes it will tell you the weather.

cherry point
The very first one I deleted: Home app

Then: iTunes Store, Contacts, Videos, Watch, Stocks, Tips, Find My Friends

Contacts, stocks, tips and about to delete home since my nest doesn't seem to want to connect. There may have been one or two more but I don't remember since I never use them anyways lol

The App Store is not a deletable app.
Makes sense but the OP says they deleted it. Also seems implausible that you could delete Settings too which the OP states. Plus the OP says they deleted the Phone app. Seems ironic that you can delete the Phone App off an iPhone. Is it still a cell Phone if it not a cell phone? :D Also how can it call 911 which I believe is a legal requirement?

Lol I definitely have to say OP made up those first three, UNLESS they are experiencing a MAJOR bug! :)
