I am, I can't wait!

The note 3 is rumored to have 3GB RAM which is awesome!
What do you expect on the note III? Six-core processor?
Higher Resolution display?
32GB standard? What do you want on the new note that will make you upgrade from your note 2?

Samsung is really stepping up!

Loving my S4 so no but looking forward to seeing what it brings. I'm guessing just like the S4 but with the S Pen and a 5.7 inch screen.

Honestly, I thought that the Note II was a tad bit too large. I prefer to have a phone that enables me to type with one hand without using the awkward Samsung one handed keyboard.

I held an S4 in my hand and honestly I felt that it was the perfect size.

You aren't, by any chance, a leprechaun are you? It is well known that they have very tiny hands and can only hold 3 gold coins in each hand.

Very excited to see both the note 3 and htc max. Currently love my OG Pro, but i do miss the s pen and multi window support of the note. If they use an lcd display instead of amoled or if the max comes with a stylus and multi window i'll probably switch to one of them.

Agreed. I wouldn't want anything larger than what I currently have, 4.7".

With the Galaxy Note 2, the Note 3 is not really interesting. My Galaxy Note 2 is already powerful enough with its 1.6 Quad- Core CPU and 2GB of RAM. The Full HD display on the Note 3 is interesting but 1280x720 is still good enough for me (coming from an iPhone 5 with 1130x620 display at 4'). The S-pen compared To the first note is outstanding. The only thing that will bug me until the end is the possibility of the Note 3 coming with 4.3, while I'm still stuck on 4.1.2 on Verizon Wireless.

I am VERY excited for the Note 3, but the Note 2 is still quite an impressive, powerhouse of a device, with outstanding battery life.

Note 2 is great, If they can make the screen bigger while not making the dimensions bigger (Much like the S3 > S4 size change) then I will be happy. Phone and screen size are perfect in my opinion.

If they can wow me in the next iteration without resorting to cheese features I just might get the new one.

I'm very excited to buy a new Note III.

Thats a perfect size for a portable tablet. My iPad mini is uncomfortable to hold one handed which is required for messaging, email & note taking. I've tried using it in a case when at my desk or a table but unlike my spacious and stable iPad 4, the mini slides around too much.

I love my Galaxy S4 as my primary smartphone. But with a 5.0" display it's not as useful as a larger model with a 5.7 or larger display.

I want to see if they'll use new materials. I don't hate plastic, but I'm just curious if the HTC One and all the negative feedback of Samsung's continued usage of what-feels-like cheap plastic has taken any effect yet.

Wonder if 4.3 will come on this same event?

You don't think 5 inches is enough for a phone? Think anything much bigger is too big. That's why I have the galaxy note 8.0..which is what I want for an on the go tablet.

I think the screen will be too big for me. Anything more than 5.8 inches and it will be no good. Everything else sounds awesome though.

My S4 hardware specs are already more than I really need.

Only the screen size might make a difference for me as I don't need my phone to be ultra portable and could handle < 6"

Just out of curiosity, what do you guys need the 3gb ram and more powerful CPU for? I had a Note 2 for a while, it was just too big for my needs but I thought it was an awesome awesome device. It ran every single game I threw at it and I never saw a stutter or lag or low framerates in any graphic intensive game on it.

I'm just curious why everyone is so excited about the specs. Personally I'd like to see more aesthetic love than specs, smaller bezels, thinner design, get rid of the plastic, etc.

I am pretty satisfied with my Note II at this point. It does everything I need it to do and does it well.
But Here are a list of items I would love to see on the Note III.

1080p
13MP Camera
Snapdragon 800 or about 20% faster speeds
Better build quality
32GB starting size

If it comes close to those specs, I would buy it otherwise I would be hard pressed to hold onto my note II.

I agree with just about all you wrote. Just curious though, why do you and everyone else hate the plastic. I always see that on these forums and I don't understand it. My phone feels great in my hand. Is it the looks? Durability? Why does everyone hate the plastic? I'm honestly not talkin ****, I'm just curious what I'm missing out on. I had an iPhone and an iPhone 3g and I don't remember anything about how they felt, only about how they worked.

But, back on the Note II. I think this phone is the absolute best. I'm surprised more people dont have it. Its by far the best phone I've ever used. So much so that I can't really see what a Note III could bring to the table that would make me upgrade. I agree with your points especially about the speed an capabilities. I've never thought my phone was slow in any way.

If its just all the gimmicky crap in the S4 then I'll certainly be staying with the Note II. I don't need the phone to track my eyes and where I'm looking :)

Anyway, as a fan of technology, I'm looking forward to finding out what the phone has anyway!
