I'm trying to install SOF2 Double Helix on my G5. I go along nicely until I get to the sound files, then my computer gives me a disc error message. I've bought two of these games and they both give me the same error reading. The discs aren't damaged. Need some help! Any advice would be appreciated.

SOF2 on G5

I'm pretty new to the world of mac. What exactly is the procedure. Does it matter that I'm on a desktop G5?

No, what kind of Mac you're using doesn't matter. Ok, what you do is go into system preferences and go to Accounts, then create a new user account. Try installing the game in the new user account, this tells you if it is a system wide problem, or if it is just in that single account. And restarting sometimes fixes things and it's the easiest thing to do, so it never hurts to try restarting.

Thanks iBookG4 User. It worked like a charm! I really appreciate the advice.
