Software for checking search engine keywords?

im trying to find two things here, first some good software that will allow me to track my website serach engine placement daily and also a site out there that will tell me how many times a keyword is searched for on that particular search engine that month.

i remember somewhere there was a site that if you typed in a keyword it would tell you how many times that keyword had been typed in that month for say msn or yahoo. anyone know of any site like that?

The only app I've heard about and used was AddWeb's Website Promoter, and that was for PC. I also like to know if there is anything like this for the Mac.
