I have some personal interest in searching out links for both hardware and software made available for the blind since my brother in law has lost his sight the result of a battle with diabetes. Ironically, he was an Apple tech back in the 80's, but has resigned to use of a Pentium IV and XP which allows him to run both Jaws and Window Eyes. I know Apple came out with the talking moose back in the 80's http://www.zathras.de/angelweb/moose.htm and have checked out various other links http://www.synapseadaptive.com/synapse/tapdesc.htm Edit: I checked links for outSPOKEN, but ran in to outdated urls.

But I'm curious if anyone has some helpful links on where and what Apple has in store for the present and future of a marginalized group of individuals who cannot see? My brother in law has had difficulties (almost 10 days) with tech people trying to do a simple installation set up and upgrade from his older computer, and I'm trying to see what other options may be out there for him. Thanks.
