You'll have to pardon my lack of familiarity with terms such as "native install" and "virtual machine"; I'm a noobie. My goal is to put some windows based programs on my Mac Book (no games, just things like Quicken/Quickbooks). After reading thru the forum, I've learned that I can use either Fusion, or, Parallels with Windows; I've opted for Fusion. Thus, back to the original question as to whether the install sequence makes a difference? Thanks.
If you're going to run a virtual machine then the steps I listed apply.
I don't know if you're going to run a full installation of Windows and then use its partition as the virtual disk drive for the virtual machine.
This is instead of install Windows directly onto the Mac and in addition making a separate virtual machine.
