Hi - still pondering a Mac purchase but need a couple more bits of info:
1. - does the Mac come with cd burning software or is that included in GarageBand?
2. - would like to still utilize my Sansa clip and Sony Walkman MP3 players (blasphemy!!) on the Mac - I keep hearing differing opinions about whether they are compatible with iTunes offloads. I have noted software that supposedly works for these players on the Apple download site: "About Sansa Device Sync - with Itunes Mac OS X integration for all iTunes versions allows everyone to use this free software to sync your Sansa Fuze, View, Clip or any other MP3 player to your Itunes library".
Anyone have any experience with this software? is it safe to install stuff from 3rd party vendors and outside the Mac realm? It is on the Apple site so thought it would be ok.
Thanks again.

1. For audio, iTunes will be your best bet. For everything else, there's iDVD (included) and I believe "Burn to Disc" functionality is built into the Finder.

2. No experience with this, but your concerns are completely unfounded. If it says it does what you need it to, it almost certainly will.

For burning:

If you just want to burn a folder or files, right click it and hit "Burn to disc". For music, iTunes will do it, for movies, iDVD will do it or, if iDVD won't burn something because its DRMed, DVD2OneX works (but it costs money).
