software that organize roms and run them as emulator?

Hi guys

I was quite interested in knowing about software to emulate console and other computers on a mac.

On PC i had 2 main hubs: MAME and a multi emulator that was very similar to mame; but on Mac i have problems to find something similar.

I've found a sogtware called ROM organizer; it's really nice, since it can basically catalog and run a lot of different games for different systems; but is not free, and is not supported anymore, so i would not like to spend money and then never get the activation key

Basically what i am looking for is a software that can read roms, give info (system, year, country, if the romset is complete and working, if the game is a clone/bad dump, a screenshot and the size) and is able to run these roms, instead to have to load each separate emulator and load manually the roms.

Another nice thing would be the capability to delete or rename the roms (as a regular software that manage graphic files), so i can get rid of all the bad romsets or the ones that does not work.

I know that is a lot to ask; but since you guys are mac users since long time (and i am just starting now), I hope that some other emulator lover will have some answers

i dont really have an answer, but to possibly help others answer - what platform are we emulating? SNES? nintendo? sega? older computers? etc

Mainly arcade (whatever mame can emulate: CS2, namco/sega/capcom, neo geo); but i have almost all the roms for every system (amiga, snes, lynx, genesis, gameboy, etc)

I doubt Richard Bannister would even take your money for Rom Organizer anymore. I'll attest that it worked fantastic back in the day when he released it though. Wish more people would have used it so he could have afforded to keep supporting it.
