Apparently, the News of the World will on Sunday, publish a story exposing Sol Campbells "big worry". The story focuses on his "personal life and a worrying extension to rumors that have surrounded the player for some time..."

Very sad. Allegedly involved are Jermaine Jenas, possibly Will Young and just maybe an Everton and a Newcastle player. There appears also to be a diagnosis in the mix.

I cannot understand all the hate against Sol while Matt Taylor has no problems whatsoever. Probably plain and simple racism is involved.

That could be part of it but it's not the main story from what I gather.

It's clear that something is very, very wrong with Sol at the moment, and the rumours are naturally flying. He's a player who's been noted for his mental toughness in the past – hopefully that strength will help him through his current problems. Unfortunately though, it doesn't look like he's going to have the chance to sort out his private life in private...

So his fans would start rumours about him bagging Will Young? Why would they do that? He can do better...
I don't think his fans started the rumour ;)
I don't think it's true, and so what if it is? He's obviously having a difficult time, which is badly affecting his game. Sometimes you just wish the tabloids would let go (unrealistic I know).
If he doesn't play in Germany because of all this I, for one will be gutted. Who would you rather have? Campbell or Ferdinand? No choice at all in my opinion.

His fans didnt do anything - its whispers from opposing fans.

Ive heard

Gary Neville - Gay with Will Young
O'Shea - Gay with the Will Young
Lampard - Gay with Will Young

now SHOCKINGLY Sol campbell - Gay with Will Young.

Will Young's Gay!!!!!????

Meh, as long as he gets his head together for the world cup and doesn't get all sensitive and new-age on us, he can wear a dress and call himself Margaret for all I care.

Blimey – that Will Young puts it about a bit, doesn't he?

Listening to the football commentary on the radio just now– they're reporting that Sol's solicitor has put out a statement saying he doesn't have any personal problems and will be back in training on Monday. Unfortunately, I'm sure with the tabloids sniffing this won't be the end of things...

It looks like the rumor was just that.

According to BBC1, Sol's solicitor has said "there are no personal problems affecting Sol. He's perfectly healthy, needed some time to himself and will be reporting for training on Monday."

Good news. :)

At least until the NOTW get hold of him ;)
Arsenal's season is virtually over, but I really hope he's ready by June

Well, reading the NOTW website this morning, it's not exactly the world's greatest footballing scandal. They're reporting Sol's been seeing a faith healer to help him with depression. And that's pretty much it, it seems. No mention of the gay rumours at all, in fact there's reference to "relationships with three different women", including his current ladyfriend.

I bet Will Young's gutted...

I can confirm

Sol is infact Gay...........cause I finally boke my duck with him...I know its not the same a scoring a goal but at leat I scored...at last....ew can stop the timer now.
