Just wondering how many have done the same.... I loved the 11", but I also just got an iPad 2 so i figure that will be doing more traveling than the computer now.

I also really missed not having an SD reader in the 11", and the extra screen space and higher res. will be nice too.

You do realize the resolution is hardly any different? 1366x768 is the 11-inch model, and 1440x900 is the 13-inch model. They have relatively similar pixels per square inch, with the 11-inch coming ahead slightly. So maybe you're just thinking of the screen space?

I find the iPad to be more of a toy and less of a productivity machine. As such, my laptop is my portability-based machine. The 13-inch makes sense for portability... it's just fine. An iPad doesn't make sense to me at all. For me, the 11.6-inch is where it's at :)

I'm doing the same. And I'm selling my iMac as well. Consolidation is the name of the game. Going with the 13" top end, non 1.8 since it's not worth the $90

PaulWog, you make a decent point about the resolution, but the vertical space is vastly superior on the 13. It feels like more of a computer. I love the 11, but I can see myself struggling to work on it for any length of time.

I did the exact same. I've loved the 11 inch air, but I'm really excited about those extra 132 vertical pixels (not to mention faster processor and more storage space).

Anyone else have more reasons on why they're moving from 11 to 13?

I owned the 13" for a short time before returning it and wanting (but not buying) the 11". My thought was tha the 13" footprint was just as big as the 13" MBP so if I were to carry that large a computer I might as well get the MBP. But now with the 11" and 13" Air rivaling the power of the 13" Pro then I'm not sure what I want. All I know is I don't want to get stuck with too much or too little.

I absolutely loved my 11", but thankfully was able to sell it last week. The resolution was fine, but the lack of vertical space was severely hampering document review and editing. I needed it to view pdf files and edit large documents with embedded images, and it just wasn't the correct form factor for it.

I just ordered the base 13" and I'm hoping it will do the trick.
