I wonder if the new Macbook Airs will have faster SSD drives? Everyone talks about CPU, but I am curious about the SSD drive having better read/write performance than the current model.

Doubtful, but you never know. I honestly expect them to use the same exact SSDs except possibly higher capacities.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8J2 Safari/6533.18.5)

I wouldn't get overly concerned about a faster SSD. Other than some of the gen 1 controllers SSD's represent a significant performance increase over spinning disk HHD's. The delta between a good SSD and a top of the line SSD is not that significant in terms of real world performance. SSD's don't need to get faster, they need to get bigger at a lower cost per GB.
