I am really torn whether to buy the new bands or not. I currently have the SSG AW6 with a milanese loop and a "black" sport band. However, I will sell the sport loop together with my old AW5, and thus I need to get a replacement for it since I don't want to use the milanese loop all the time.

I am torn between the solo loop, the braided solo loop and a new sport band.

However, I see both pros and cons with all of them, and I can't really decide...

Solo loop/braided solo loop:
+ Won't scratch your computer
+ The braided loop looks nice on the SS watch
+ Might be more comfortable without the locking mechanism
- Hard to find a perfect size (I am between a 4 and 5 on the braided one), especially since it will stretch a bit
- Not adjustable (duh), so if you want it tighter/looser you're screwed
- If you loose/gain weight the band might not fit you anymore
- When selling the watch together with the band, or the band by itself, you might mainly attract buyer's with the same band size

Sport band
+ Easy to find a good size
+ Adjustable
+ When selling there's no issue with the buyer's wrist size
+ No problem with sizing if you loose/gain weight
- Perhaps not as comfortable due to the locking mechanism
- Doesn't look as good on the SS watch as the braided band
- Might scratch your computer

Not a fan of the look of the braided loop but it may be comfortable. Let us know which way you go.

In a van down by the river
The braided loop is great for day to day use that doesn’t involve working out. The Solo loop is great for all activities, because it is as comfortable as the braided loop and can be easily washed off, unlike the braided solo loop.

Conclusion: To Buy 😊

I’ve never bought authentic Apple Watch bands, have always bought third party bands online, but after trying both the solo loop and braided solo, I’m sold. I purchased the solo loop in multiple colors already, and I have one braided solo that I added to my collection. Here are my thoughts:

- If you’re between sizes, choose the smaller size of the two (I was between two, and went with the smaller one).
- Both the solo loop and braided solo are comfortable, truly almost as if nothing is on your wrist. I wear the solo loop for exercising activities, while the braided solo I’ve only worn casually.
- It’s nice to not have a buckle, especially if you’re on your laptop, no worries with regards to having to scratch anything.
- I haven’t noticed any stretching/loosening with regards to either bands. If you go on YouTube and search for MobileReviewsEh, he reviews both bands in details — he actually demonstrated that despite a lot of stretching, the bands reverted back to their original size.
