Long story short:

I bought the new Apple Watch 6 with size "8" for the Solo Loop, the size was wrong so i called Apple Support and asked them if they could send me the size "7" in exchange, everything went ok but the problem is... Size "7" it's still loose, the fact is that in my Country we don't have any Apple Stores so i can't actually try the bands and this is the only way i have to do it.

Conclusion: They only exchange one Solo Loop and now i have to pay 50$ if i want a band with the correct size. Be careful, the difference between one size and another is minimal or nothing at all so if you have a size 8 and you think it's kinda loose go AT LEAST 2 sizes down.

I went to buy an apple watch with the braided loop strap as an extra in the apple store the day before yesterday. It was ultra comfy in the store. I measured a 6 at home and a 6 in the store but the assistant said they were coming up big and sure enough there was a gap. So I bought the 5. As I loved that strap I wore it first. Within an hour I was itching under the watch - took it off and I had a indentation in a circle and a rash. Washed wrist, did not put that strap back on sprayed wrist with a defender spray and using the the sports loop now - the one you thread through. Loosely! No more problems. i suspect that this design will either be too loose in one size and too tight in the next on some people. I am sad it didn't suit me it is very smart. It is not harsh - it feels quite soft. It's going back on Sunday. So to cut a long story longer - I suggest you see if that strap is ok really by wearing for a day or two and seeing if everything works, if it is a near thing in fit.

I measured a 7 at home. Saw everyone online complain about loose bands. So I ordered a 5. 5 was very tight and left red marks on my wrist. Chatted with online support. They said I have to return the whole watch. Called apple support, they immediately said they'll exchange my band to a bigger size and will send an extra sport band in the mean time. Still waiting for the 7 to come. Replacement sport band comes today. Still not sure if I have to return the replacement band when I get the 7 or if it was free to keep.

I would suggest ordering new watches with a "basic" band, not Braided/Solo loops.

It seems they are too easy to get a wrong fit and issues with returns. This leads to delays...

That's what i did - I bought the watch at a store with another band (a nylon loop type) and bought the braided one separately so if it was wrong i could return it without having to return both.
