I have a Bank of America Visa card attached to Apple Pay. It will expire soon, so BoA sent me a new one. I activated it on the BoA website, and I immediately got three emails, each with a different xxxx: "We updated your card in Apple Pay. No action is required by you at this time. Continue to enjoy the benefits and protections of your Bank of America credit card while using Apple Pay with virtual card ending in xxxx." So Apple Pay generates multiple virtual cards for each actual card? If so, how did it come up with three? I have the card as an auto-pay for one account, and I use it at Costco because they don't take MasterCard (my other card), and I very occasionally use it for other purchases.

It generates a new virtual card for each device you have it set up in Apple Pay. From your signature, I'm guessing they came from Apple Pay on your iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

Thanks, iStorm! I do indeed have three Apple devices.
