Hi,

I have a Big Sur 11.2.3 running on 2018 MacBook Pro and I also have 20GB free space on iCloud Drive.

I've enabled the Documents and Desktop folders syncing with iCloud Drive. All my files were correctly synced on both my MBP and iCloud Drive (no cloud icons next to the filenames of folders). And now, many folders and files have a cloud icon with down-pointing arrow indicating that the files/folders are no longer present on my computer.

What's this issue? And how can I prevent iCloud Drive from removing files locally?

Thanks!

If you have optimized storage turned on, and your drive is close to full, iCloud will remove local copies of older files to make space.

Thanks a lot, I missed this one setting badly!
