iPhone X Some apps on iPhone X freezing?

So I've noticed this mostly with YouTube - I am able to go back to the home screen and go to other apps, but within YT, I cannot do anything. It takes a couple of seconds for any registration to come back. Has anyone had any similar issues, and perhaps with other apps as well? I read that people were having these issues with the iPad Pro's, and was wondering if maybe this was an overarching iOS issue.

No sorry, I should have clarified that this is on the latest iOS 11 version
