I was Number 1 in the AT&T store near me, and they got NONE. the AT&T's web site lists them as a store for the iPhone, but the manager said they didn't get them in western Mass, because of some shipping mistake. That the "flagship" stores only got 10. All I got was the pamphlet about the iPhone and got added to the Direct Fulfillment list... Manager said no compensation on the iPhone AT ALL.

I got the same excuse here in NJ, that there was some shipping mistake. So they didn't get any either. Ended up waiting for no reason, only to get added to the Direct Fulfillment list.

I overheard one of the employees telling a friend that they were only expecting to receive 5 anyways so i probably wouldn't have gotten one anyways since i was 10th in line. :(

Seems like there is going to be ALOT of people on the Direct Fulfillment list.

Damn, I'm sorry to hear that mates.

That sucks! You'd think they could have made you aware before waiting in line, that's just not fit of them 'tall. I'm very regretted to hear of your unfortunate iPhone experiences, and that's just bloody ridiculous of whoever made 'shipping errors'.

I hope you get your iPhones soon!

Sorry again.:(

Same here in So Cal.

They are still expecting the shipment. I'm going to be calling them a lot tomorrow and the following week.

I want my DAMN iPhone and will not wait 2-4 weeks online or Pay the 15 dollars for overnight shipping.

Put when I have my iPhone I will be happy. :)

That totally stinks!

There were about 40 people in line at our local corporate AT&T store and last I heard at 10pm local, they did not sell out. I might go back tomorrow and get another one.

I got one!!!
The AT&T stores ran out but the apple stores have lots of them. I found out and drove quickly to one before it closed:) The one in Cambridge mass had 20 or 30 of them stacked in the back when they closed.

My original plan was to go to AT&T and I was waffling up until this morning. But all the evidence I could gather this past week, it looked like the Applestores, if you were lucky to have one by you, were going to be a significantly better bet than any AT&T store. So finally this morning I changed my mind and instead of going to the AT&T store first, I just went to the Applestore early and they had plenty. I suspect I would not have gotten one at the AT&T store.

It is unfortunate that AT&T handled the whole thing in a more lacking manner than did Apple. My experience today with Apple was top notch.
