Hi all,
I've searched around a bit and went through the FAQ, but I have a few more specific questions. I just upgraded my PPC power mac to an 8core 2.26 macpro.
I finished up installing XP home retail sp2 via bootcamp and it seems ok for the most part (xp sometimes won't shut down....of course. sigh.) Some specific questions:
1. Should I EVER download drivers for say, the ATI 4870 for win? Or ONLY drivers that come from mac/bootcamp? and I mean EVER.
2. I have a sonnet 4port eSata card installed. XP does not recognize. That's fine. That's good. I don't care. But will having it in there and constantly having windows "try" to use it lead to any problems? I live off this card as I am a video editor.
3. If I install Parallels and have it run off the bootcamp installation, does that mean that whatever happens in bootcamp happens in Parallels? Meaning: say I write something and save it while in Parallels. Then later re-boot in bootcamp, does that file exist exactly as I used in parallels? As in - Parallels AND bootcamp are essentially the same "computer"...? does that make sense?
Well, for instance, I use quicken on PC. If i update my info in parallels and then the next day go through my same routine ala bootcamp am I literally accessing the same thing?
Thanks for the help all!
