Some Bugs On iTunes Match

some of my albums are greyed out but i can still play them and others show no album cover in the preview of artist view but when i open the artist all the covers are there. same with album view, some dont have a album cover but once i play a song, it shows up (i see a spinning wheel so i assume its grabbing it from the internet )

and some that have a album cover on iTunes dont have one on the iPad. this is so confusing ...

another problem is that my iTunes Match is stuck on the 3rd step with the last 61 remaining tracks. it doesnt even show anymore a progress on the bar in itunes and my fan is running like crazy and i have to force quit itunes, it wont close by itself.

similar issue

So heres my story.

Match had been working perfectly. I decided to delete all my low bitrate matached songs and redownload them. The process was going perfectly and then I had to restart my Macbook. About 500 songs downloaded correctly and are now upgraded 256kbps AACs but every other matched song is greyed out and I cannot download it.

I have tried everything: turning off/on match, option clicking the match on/off button, creating a new itunes library, etc. No luck. I can see all my music and itunes match says all 7500+ of my songs "are available in the cloud" but almost all of them appear in grey text and I cannot downloaded them.

Also, the cloud icon next to "music" on the sidebar shows animated diagonal lines.

Is iTunes match down? Anyone else having this issue?

Interesting, I can download/stream all 7500+ songs on my iPhone. The problem seems to be confined to itunes on my mac.

Yeah, seems more and more likely it's just down. Cloud icon changed from animated diagonal lines to a cloud with a lightning bolt.

my god, how can they release such a product. It turned my library into a mess without covers and still wont upload my remaining 61 songs. Its been over 12 hours and the fan of my mac runs as fast as a blow dryer

Back up!

Yay! iTunes Match is up and running again for me. Hope it stays up! I still have 4435 songs to upgrade.

Getting Better

Match certainly has problems.

iTunes crashed on me for the first time in years.
Too many duplicates.
Often the high quality version of song was the 'extra' and match wanted me to keep the 128kbs version.


Some 256kbs AAC or ALAC tracks that should match refuse to match.

Music uploaded to iCloud 24 hours ago is slowing coming available.

Still have a large amount of music that is waiting:

I can't delete short tracks from iCloud. I've got hundreds of Welsh and Spanish words that will not delete.
