Checking with you guys to see if you have the same experience.

In my neck of the woods, a Little Caesar's would accept Apple Pay, but not Apple Cash.

In a grocery store(Super King), I had trouble using the $100 Mastercard gift card gotten from Visible as a reward for signing up for their service. When I went to another grocery store(Von's), it had NO problem recognizing and accepting the card!

I was under the impression that if a business accepts Apple Pay, then any card or payment option linked to the Apple Wallet would be accepted. But this doesn't seem to be true!

Not true. The most oft-repeated example is Costco. Costco takes ApplePay but NOT the AppleCard - due to their exclusive contract with VISA... and the AppleCard is operated on the MasterCard network... there are no guarantees...

I've had the same problem. I was about to start a thread about it but I noticed you had posted one.

It happened at Starbucks today! The odd thing is it seemed to go through at first, and even deducted from my balance, but then declined afterwards and the balance was replenished. It was embarrassing; I just ended up paying with Apple Card.

Apple Pay Cash uses the Discover network, but Starbucks claims to accept Discover. So I'm not sure what's going on. I think I may just limit my Apple Pay Cash usage to paying off the Apple Card since it all works out to be the same anyway. It's just that there's this cool feeling of stuff I buy with the cash back being "free" when I use the Cash directly.
