i have rMBP 15" with the GT650 w/1GB vram and it works very well with gaming and I can run any of the newer games both in mac and bootcamp. But with some of the newer games like GTAV and shadow of mordor, its GPUs age is starting to show, i can only run those games in low-medium in most settings. So I've started to consider getting a windows laptop just for gaming and still keeping my macbook for personal use computer. This way i can get a cheap (compared to macs) laptop and play new games on high settings.

So anyone have any good suggestions for PC gaming laptops?? Im looking for somewhat cheap in price, but ultimately want it future proofed (as much as possible) for gaming. Good graphics card with high vram, upgradable storage (i have a high capacity SSD already).

Thanks.

The Lenovo Y50 is a solid choice for the money and is available with a 4 GB GeForce GTX 960M GPU for ~$1,200-ish depending on what sale the company is running.

If you want something with more customization options, I'd suggest a Sager notebook. They offer a wide range of models at aggressive prices. Most Sager retailers also have excellent customer service - kind of like how Dell and Gateway used to be back in the day.

Awesome, I'll look into that. Thanks
