Hey!, I' thinking of buying the higher end 21,5" iMac and got some questions.

I heard that Sc2 is kinda sucky under Mac OS X, if I install win 7, will the fans work as the do in Mac os x? I know when I play on my macbook the fans stays at low...even when I play stuff, not good for heat :p Is this "fixed" on the imacs if I choose to play under windows?

And second, How loud will it be player Sc2 or WoW (under mac os x?) or same demanding games.

Also is there a issue with the screen on the 21,5"'s as well? I don't want that high pitched sound I've heard on some friends 27".

Thank you !

Hello! I just got my higher end 21.5 iMac a couple of days ago, but I'll try and answer anyway.

It is true that the fans won't work very well running Windows, but there are some methods to fix this, such as setting up a fan speed controlling program on OS X then switching to Windows (without shutting down), but personally I find this a bad idea since it will reduce your fan's life expectancy.

SC2 is not really that sucky under OS X, but would be slightly better on Win. Personally I will just play it on OS X. As for WoW I'm a huge player of that too, but I still haven't installed that on this computer :p however from what I've read, WoW seems to run fine on Mac with the exception of a few minor settings (such as the full screen glow effect thing, which I never really understood what it does) that can severely drop framerates. Nothing really big though.

I have no idea what issue you are talking about, I have so far encountered none.

Good luck! :D
