Hi everyone! I’m a big fan of Mountain Lion so far and I think it’s worth £14 for the new dictation feature alone considering that I have my dissertation to do soon! I even used it to write this post! However I have a few Mountain Lion issues. Firstly, will Mail still check for new messages every hour even when closed?

That’s the only thing I’ve been a little confused by so far but does anyone know what I could do about these issues?

  • The Print & Scan preferences section has added a second scanner, which has the same name as my first, and the same options, except for one that tells the scan button what program to open, so how do I know which to get rid of?
  • iTunesHelper now can’t be found but it is still listed as a login item, so what do I do now, just remove it?
  • iCloud says that my Mac can’t be found because it doesn’t have Wi-Fi, but that is ridiculous because I’m using the other iCloud services from it!

Thanks in advance for all your help.

theres a few.

some iv spotted:

when using airplay mirroring, and stopping, grapics on the laptop can become bad.

when stopping using airplay mirroring, if you attempt to play music through airplay with the same apple tv, then the machine gets confused and turns back airplay mirroring on.

sometimes launch pad gets stuck when swiping between pages. sometimes when i swipe the appropriate way to get to the other page, launchpad can refuse, as if i am swiping the wrong way.

1. Just get rid of both. After that, connect your scanner to your computer.

2. Why would you need to remove iTunes helper? Do you not want iTunes to open when your iDevice is connected?

3. Make sure Find my Mac is selected in System Preferences > iCloud

iTunes 10.6/OS X 10.8

I'm having an issue with iTunesHelper aswell. I remove it as a startup item, but it keeps getting put back as a startup item but following a reboot.
