Hi, just a few questions

1. Why do my widescreen movies and shows (The Office, Lost) all still have the black bars? Is there a setting I need to change for that?

2. Does anyone else use gmail on the mail app? For me, it says that I have 50 new emails but when I look on the computer, my inbox is full of only about 10 opened emails.

Do you think that it is seeing all my mail (the archive)?

Thanks so much!

1. They were encoded in a different aspect ratio than the screen was made. This is normal. You can zoom in if you want (I think you just double tap on the screen), but then you're losing part of the picture.

2. I use gmail and it is working fine for me. Do you have 40 new messages in your archives or something? Also, are you using POP or IMAP to connect to gmail? If you are using POP then the phone and the computer are downloading the messages individually and can't sync which ones have been read.

1) That's just because some widescreen videos are wider than others. Double-tap the screen to toggle between filling it vertically or horizontally. There's also a button with diagonal arrows on the top-right corner of the video screen that does the same thing.

2) I don't use Gmail, but I get that all the time (Comcast pop mail). Mine often says that I have around 25 million emails to download. I just ignore it and it goes away.

I get my gmail on my iPhone just fine too but maybe the spam filter on your computer is dumping some of the emails that aren't getting filtered from your iPhone gmail???? Just a thought.
