SOME NEW INFO... maybe?

SO i've been reading mac rumors forever but this is first post! Finally!

anyhow...

So i went into my local Cingular/At&t store today to try and get some iPhone answers. I walked in and casually began browsing when a sales lady came up to me. I started asking her some questions about the phone in regards to the contract and data plan and then all of the sudden her boss from the other side of the store yells across "HEY STOP. WE DON'T KNOW ANYTHING". The entire store stopped and the girl got really red in the face. They began to argue for a second and then he came over and said "all we know is that it is coming the 29th."

but he did give one more tidbit of info! He said we will know more information tomorrow! That would be June 8th (even though its technically june 8th right nwo...). BUT ANYHOW try calling your local store tomorrow and find out the new info! I will be calling as soon as they open to find out what they know and if I find anything out i'll post it here!

Fair enough, they actually don't, why do you think Apple has sent every employee a phone already to test out ? It's not like Apple at all, asking the same questions over and over wont get you anything new.

If they find out new information (tomorrow for you) then phoning first thing in the morning will likely yield little results, as they'll probably get whatever info it is, a bit later in the day. I doubt that the first thing they do in the morning will be receiving that info from somewhere... if something is coming, it'll arrive a little later in the morning/day... ask at the end or in a few days.

Hmm unless the "HEY STOP!" was not for you but for the sales lady. Her boss may have just been stopping her from leaking any details.. then again I don't think Apple would trust the regular Cingular AT&T employee with such prized information.

LOL for some reason that sounded so funny when I read it. You should spruce up that story a little. Add a part about how the rep dove from the top of the sales counter to intercept the lady mid speech, and then how he wrestled her to the ground while punching her in the face screaming "STOOOP!" That would have been awesome!

They're probably under strict instructions not to say too much about it, regardless of what they may or may not know. AT&T/Apple probably wants them to complete their training before they start talking about it.

Whoah! Did she reveal that there are aliens in area 51? I mean, LOL. We are going to look back on this years from now when imitation touch-screen phones are common (as is the shell phone via Razr) and laugh at ourselves.
