So basically the title. Since a while I experience the issue that when I try to update certain programs and I click on "restart" or something like that after the download is completed the program doesn't automatically restart. Instead, I have to re-launch it manually. I don't know if this is a Big Sur issue but I believe that I never encoutered this issue in previous macOS versions.

Anyone else also having this bug?

Yeah it all depends on the software, some will say do you want to update and will update and then relaunch.

Its not a system wide setting it’s app specific.

Quick funny/strange update: So I updated GitKraken and Loom about 1 hour ago. For both, I clicked on something like "Install and re-launch". Both didn't re-launch. I then re-launched them manually and cmd+q them. So far so good. Now, 1 hour (!) later, both programs suddenly launched by themselves o_O

Anyone has any news regarding this? Just updated "Guilded", it didn't automatically restart, I then restarted it manually and quit it. And then several hours later it automatically launched by itself.

I think that I only have this issue with programs that cause FileVault to check the app after an update but I'm not sure.
