Hi,

I have had an iPod Touch and an iPhone since the beginning. I will getting a Mac Mini on Thursday. It'll be my first Mac. Could you please help me with some questions?
1.- I have a Razer Blackwidow keyboard (PC version) and a Razer Naga mouse. I use them with Photoshop and Sibelius. Can I create macros just by using the Mac drivers with my two Razer devices?

2.- I also use Phrase Express. Is there anything as good in the Mac side?

3.- I have two Monitors. One of them uses HDMI and the other VGA. Can I use them both with the Mac Mini Server?

I hope I won't regret it!

Thank you very much!

3) Yes! You'll use the HDMI with the built in HDMI port, and you'll need to get a Mini DisplayPort to VGA adapter or cable to use VGA, but your Mac will be able to support both at once.

1) If you want to use any non-standard keys on your keyboard, you'll likely need third party drivers from Razer (if they're available). What kind of macros are you looking to use?

2) TextExpander and Typinator are the two big names in text replacment. If your needs aren't that complex, OS X also has some very rudimentary text replacement features as well (System Preferences -> Languages & Text -> Text tab).

Thanks Warvanov!

Dolphin842,
I am professional musician. I use macros to write music with Sibelius and Finale. I have about 50 macros so far for my Naga and 70 for my Blackwidow.
Some macros contain from 3 to 10 keystrokes. I also use the macros for Photoshop and inDesign, but I use Actions most of the time.

Thanks a lot for your help!
