am finally a mac user!
u recently got the new imac with 20" screen
4gb of ram, 2.4 intel core 2 duo...... and everything work just fine, i love it so much :)

but there are some things i don´t get it.

for example, i read that you can put windows on your mac, with boot camp
so i download it, and when i try to run it, this show up:
boot camp assistant has expired !
and believe me, i love mac os x, but i work on music, so i need some programs that are only in windows.

other thing
is there any Video upgrades?
i mean the video card its good, but i think its not enough for some applications (yes am a gammer to XD)

so am a newbie in mac world
but damn! i love it so much! :)

and if some one has de full version of ableton, lets talk, :p

Boot Camp requires Leopard (OS version 10.5), it sounds like perhaps you're still running Tiger (OS X version 10.4). If you just bought your iMac and it didn't have version 10.5 installed you qualify for a $10 upgrade (to cover shipping). Boot Camp is included with Leopard (10.5) and you won't need to download it.

There are no video card upgrades available for the iMac.

1) Boot Camp cannot be used on Tiger anymore. You need leopard, and it should only cost about $10 USD.

2) No video card upgrades.

Darn, beat me to it.

thank you so much!
:) i will get the leopard

and.. to bad there are not upgrades for the video card....... well thanks again, am reading the all forum,

Does bootcamp need to be installed separately? I have Leopard installed, but can't find bootcamp anywhere.

Thanks

if you can find it, download it

check in applications/utilities /boot camp assistant
:) good luck!
and if you try it, tell me how it works!
how good is this boot camp works? no problem using windows and macOs in the same mac?

Stupid question but, you don't already have a leopard drop-in-disk do you?

If you bought it within the last Month, it should have come with one.

I'm sure you would have noticed, but I thought that it's worth a double check before you go paying out for it.

true...
in Europe you'll have to pay 130 euros...which is quite a lot but def. worth it.

Not the UK - we also have the up-to-date scheme where if you bought a new Mac between certain dates you can get Leopard for £5.95

and yeah, check you didn't get your leopard drop-in disk. My iMac which arrived last week had it

Yes the video card is already pretty good. I run windows xp pro for certain applications and games that are not available on mac. The graphics look amazing on the games Im playing on windows. I also Have wow installed on osx and have it at full specs and it runs fine with that card and 3gb of ram.

thx all
and yes, i check and no leopard included :(
but i think i can get it with a friend
thanks to all!
and alexis!
that games looks awesome!!!!!! i will get it !
