i've noticed lately that some sights, especially flash-heavy sites such as hulu, are running slow lately. this happened maybe in the past week or so, and the only thing i can guess is that it might be related to updating my software from 10.8.1 to 10.8.2. i just bought my macbook pro, brand new from the apple store, on september 11th this year. i haven't put many files on it, so it shouldn't be a memory issue. i'm a new pc-to-mac convert, so i don't know if there is a simple solution i just don't know to try or what. i've tried googling and haven't gotten any clear results though. i have an older macbook running on snow leopard at my office, and right now that's running faster than this one. i don't want to go through the hassle of setting up a genius bar appointment if there is a quick fix someone here can help me with.

Is it just a particular web browser?

Is it just a particular web browser?

it's happening in both chrome and safari. also, if there is a image with a link, sometimes nothing happens when i click the link, unless i do a command click and then have it open the link in a new tab. this also happens in both browsers.

If you haven't already done so, try changing your DNS servers on your Mac and your router to OpenDNS servers. This will show you how: Why am I being redirected to other sites?

i just tried that and it didn't help.

other info - i'm currently house-sitting for a friend and i've had this problem both here and at my own house, so i don't think it's an issue of the router or wifi.
