Hello!

After I recently upgraded from my G4 mini to a G5 iMac for Photoshop purposes, I have been struggling with my iTunes library.

When moving from the mini to the iMac I copied 12GB of music onto CD's.

I dragged the contents of the CDs into my iTunes Library folder, and all was added into my Library, in iTunes.

Heres the strange part.. NONE of my Music Videos play, ONLY SOME Music tracks play.

I get the error message, that I need to authorise my iMac to play these files, as they were purchased from the Music Store. Fair enough

I do this. It congratulates me on my authorisation (There must be an error, as I have authorised it so many times I have probably gone past the 5 computer limit tenfold!)

The strange thing? 90% of my Purchased Music has authorised fine, I have even purchased off the Store since this has happened, on the new iMac, and they have authorised themselves fine, actually they never asked for authorisation, they just played

I'm currently missing my Mary J. Blige, Jaguar Wright & Flo'etry albums.. the 3 I L*O*V*E!

Pleeeeease help. Please Please Please! Apple haven't responded to 2 e-mails :(

Do you have more than one account at the music store? If so, and if the tracks you can't play were purchased with a different account, that means that you still have to enter the old account in for the songs/videos to play.

This even happens if you rename an account...you might have changed your user name but anything downloaded before that change is still under the old account.

Thanks Besler.. I have a UK account and a US account.

For some reason, Apple have shut the US account down - they didn't even tell me, although they still send me e-mail on Tuesdays etc...

The UK account I have.. that is the one giving me trouble - haven't changed my address on that in about 6 months, so the music SHOULD work under the details I have entered.

Would I need to authorise them to burn the songs to CD then re-import them?

If I go to the files that authorised OK, and the ones that haven't - the info window shows different items.. Tried screenshots but they wont upload

What I have noticed is the songs that work have extra info on the 'Get Info' window.

The tracks that WORK have:- Encoded with: iTunes v4.7, QuickTime 7, and the purchase date.

In addition to this, there is also Purchased By, Account Name, and FairPlay Version, the same as the Info window on the tracks that don't play
