Hi all:

I have been using pc/windows for a long - long time. I have made a lot of money in AAPL and decided to get a MacBook for my new laptop at work. I have only had it a couple of weeks.

1) I used iphoto to import pictures directly from a digital camera taken this weekend. There is an icon in lower right(?) to email them. I did. The recipient complained she could not get them from the email as attachments in .jpg format. I can not find the .jpg files on the hard disk, WTF? How can I get them to her as .jpg attachments so she can do something useful with them?

2) If you have a directory with .jpg photos, and want to go through them, like MS picture and fax viewer, how do you do that? Double clicking on them opens them in preview. The next button NEVER works.

3) How do you get all the battery info, life, cycles, etc. posted elsewhere on this forum?

4) How do you get the temperature data of the cpu, etc. as posted elsewhere on this forum?

Its the latest 15" 2010 MacBook pro. Fortunately they drug their feet at work long enough to get the update when it was "ordered" several weeks before the new release. Other than #2, and #1, I just love it. It does not get anywhere near as hot as people complain about (no games though). Its extremely fast, nearly instant on, the fan is really barely audible, battery lasts a long time, and I do love the lighted keyboard. I definitely intend to get an MBA to replace my personal laptop this summer. I was debating between the MBP and MBA because I like the 15inch screen but it does weigh a ton, and I really like the thinness and light weight MBA for my personal use.

TIA

You can drag the photo(s) to the Desktop (or a Finder window with a folder open) or use File > Export.
To get from iPhoto to the www and back
