Someway I got really good battery life 9 h and 30 minutes on my iPhone 3G, how is that possibly? I have never got that much out of my iPhone not even when it was new.

I thought people got bad battery from 3.1!

You only used it for 2 minutse for calls. That's the most battery draining feature other than Safari. So you could've put on your iPod the whole time.

You also used your phone for 2 minutes

I reset that every month I'm only allowed 500 MB of data so I got to keep a track on that. But your right I'm not a big talker on the phone. texts/email ftw :)

True, but I had reset that one or two days earlier, but I'm pretty much always using Safari and playing music/podcasts.

I don't make many calls, if any, and I don't get that kind of battery life. I mainly use it for safari.

So, was that life totally in wifi? I get better battery life at home on wifi.

Mostly wifi but I switch to 3G when I go to my lectures and whatnot. But probably 70% on wifi.

I use Edge and wifi at home and 3G outside, brightness on auto and location services on. Push email I have turned off, dont use push for apps to.

Look at my 3GS. I've been getting this amazing battery life for the two weeks since I restored and set it up as a new phone. Everything is on but Bluetooth.

I just got the 20% warning when I got the screen cap!

Yeah but my 3G is one year + a month old with a lot of usage. But that's something to! Especially with everything on.

Well, as the poster above stated, it all depends on what you're doing with the iPhone.

iPhone 3Gs
Talk Time - 3G 5 hours / EDGE 12 hours
Internet - 3G 5 hours / WiFi 9 hours
Video - 10 hours
Audio - 30 hours
Standby Time - 300 hours

iPhone 3G
Talk Time - 3G 5 hours / EDGE 10 hours
Internet - 3G 5 hours / WiFi 6 hours
Video - 7 hours
Audio - 24 hours
Standby Time - 300 hours

Depending on how much you do "audio," i.e., iPod, versus the fraction of use your on the internet, you can get long life. I get 5 hours on EDGE or 3G and 6 or so hours on wifi, pretty much the rated hours.
