I have an iPhone that has version 1.1.1 with firmware 04.01.13_G.

I do not want to use ATT but rather use one of my lines with TMobile.

Can someone please explain to me step by step on how to unlock the device?

I have a Mac with Leopard OS if you needed to know.

There has full instruction on how to jailbreak your phone.
And you just have to install anysim and run it afterwards.

I have not activated the phone through ATT yet. Do I need to do that before i can unlock it?

i went to www.jailbreakme.com but i do not see a link do download anything. Does it have to be done from iphone?

basically jailbraking the phone is the first step to actually unlocking it because it pypasses the activation
