See the notification alert on the facebook icon? I tried everything to get rid of it and no matter what I did, it just won't go away. I checked my account, there's no more notifications. I even went to the extend of deleting the app, and installing it again from iTunes. But the red circle is still there?!??

Anyone knows how to refresh the icon somehow?

Put yer readin' glasses on Aggie.
OP, have you tried my suggestion?

Yes I did. Login from my mbp 17" on fb. No messages in inbox etc. No notifications of any sort right now etc. Logout from desktop. Re-login from iPhone fb, closes app. The bloody notification thingy is still there~~!!!!!

Goodness. Sounds like a mess. Is it possible its a side-effect of your JB?

I dont use facebook but try doing something that would update the number like getting a message from someone.

Had this problem with Beejive before too but sending a message to someone would clear it up.

Solved~

Unspoken Demise, I'm not jailbroken. Currently under Maxis (malaysian telco).

Here's how to solve it in case anyone encounters similar problem:-

1) Delete fb from phone.
2) Reset iPhone (hold sleep/wake button + home button).
3) Then slide to power off.
4) Wait at least 5 secs after phone is completely shutdown to power on again.
5) Reinstall fb from itunes.

Oh, I saw the "My..." thing and figured it was a setting.
Good to know you solved it!
