I just got a message that a new MBP was logged into my icloud account and sure enough after checking my icloud devices there was a device logged in that was not mine. I quickly removed it. I do have two factor authentication turned on, so I am confused how they could have done it, and if it was some kind of an error or bug.

1. how could someone log into my icloud on another device without me knowing via 2-factor authentication?
2. I checked recent purchases in the Apple Store and in the App store and there were not any. What else would someone be trying to do i they got into my account?

Thanks

Change your Apple Id password immediately. Review the list of trusted phone numbers. Remove any that you no longer use.
