someone please help!! iPhone not restoring...

I have an original iPhone and descided to update to 2.0 from a jailbroken 1.1.3....2.0 was installed successfully but now everything was erased and it could not restore to any backups...all that appeared was "Unknown" instead of "kevd00d's iphone"...now all my contacts, photos, calendar appointments,etc. are gone...is there anything i can do? or am i pretty much screwed and have to start from square one? thanks! i know you guys will know what to do and any advice is greatly appreciated.

Karma, you should've never jailbroken the iPhone in the first place.
