Hi guys,

I know I must sound desperate and over dramatic but oh well, really, I'm about to have a fit T_T

- I simply clicked the restoration option on the settings screen, nothing abnormal... BUT NOW IT WONT GO PAST THIS SCREEN!

The only way to turn if off is only by pressing both LOCK and HOME together! And when I turn it on regularly it goes back to this screen! I tried iTunes, nothing... Says device is not eligible. My iTunes on macbook is updated! I tried apple chat support with screensharing, they weren't able to solve. Nothing will work!

And at first it didn't even load this much, but half of what it is on the picture. I left it in half of what it is in the picture overnight... 8 hours! And it didn't even move. Now this morning I shut it off and tried to turn on again and kept pressing volume up button as soon as I saw the apple logo. And it went this far, half more than last night, but now it's stuck...

I don't know what else to do.

I saw some LIMARA1N stuff which I could do but I don't know if I can trust it... I have no problem with modding Android and fixing it myself but this is my first iPhone (and I'm already regretting all the money it cost!) and holy shaaaaat this phone is two weeks old I don't wanna do anything and faaack it up with some sketchy program I don't know about...

Please someone save my life I'm a sad woman as we speak T_T

Thanks S2

Hi, have you tried putting the phone into DFU mode/ recovery mode? Hope that does the trick hold down the home button and power button, once the apple logo appears, take you hand off the power button.

Well I did it and I'm holding it as we speak, but how long am I to stay holding it? Hear some people go up to 10-20 minutes, if they're lucky, 5 minutes... Also, it still has the loading bar that loads a wee bit and stops. Should I keep holding anyway?

I believe until the phone shuts down immediately let go of the power button

Hold both buttons as the screen goes blank release the power and keep the home button held. It should come up with a connect to iTunes logo. You then connect to your pc/Mac and it'll pop up with iTunes has detected a phone in recovery mode.

If you don't see the connect to iTunes logo then you've done it wrong.

iTunes does detect it, the problem is the download of the 1.84GB file of restoration takes forever and when its halfway or almost over it gives me an error 9006. So I tried at a place with much better connection and the same happened. I also tried with another laptop.

So I managed to download the .ipsw file and manually restore it by pressing ALT and holding and clicking the restore button on iTunes: it let me handpick the .ipsw file and everything goes fine as it extracts the file until... it says "this divide is not eligible for the necessary build". I don't know what else to do... Maybe try and download the .ipsw file form another place? I'm hopeless by now...

"this divide is not eligible for the necessary build".

Maybe you got the file for a wrong phone or an outdated iOS version. What kind of iPhone do you have and how is the file labeled?

But there also seems to be a general issue at the moment. A few weeks ago I got that message too for two different phones (6S Plus and 4S), both ISPW-Files downloaded two times directly from the developer center. I read some people here had the same problem.
