On another website, one of their users reported that resetting the PMU made their mbps dramatically cooler....

Steps for PMU reset
"To do this, shut down, pull the battery and unplug. Next, hold the power button down for at least 5 seconds. (Of couse nothing will happen on-screen). After that, plug back in and see if the heat is noticably lower."

here's the link.... http://www.macintouch.com/readerreports/macbookpro/topic4132.html

Could somebody try this out?

When I called Applecare for the first time, they had me do this. It didn't do anything at all. It was still really hot.
