Hi I was wondering if anyone else has experienced similar today on my iPad Pro I received a pop up saying someone tried to log into my iCloud account and to either allow or deny it I clicked deny then it offered me the option to change my password in another pop up I said not just now then went into my settings myself and changed the password, the person who logged in was from a completely different place to me - miles and miles away, when I checked my logged in devices only my iPad showed and nothing else, but has anyone else had this happen should I be concerned? Is there anything else I should do to ensure my information is safe and nobody can log in - for what it’s worth I definitely think it’s been a random person thing and not anyone I know in real life as nobody knows my icloud account details and like I say it was in a whole other city from myself very far away any advice on this would be really appreciated

It was probably random or a mistake on the other person's part. However, it's always a good idea to be cautious and change your password to a strong one. That's where a good password manager is worthwhile having.
Yes, seems that someone got your password.
How? You signing in to Apple services via public wifi? Responding to an email from Apple requesting you verify your information or update your information and "they" provided a handy link for you to click on?
Or, you are using the same password in multiple places and some other account/service has been hacked?
Get a password manager app and change all the important accounts to use random long passwords. "Important" being Apple ID (one of the keys to one's digital kingdom), email service (see previous; this is where all the "forgot my password" links go to, and if bad guy can get in...), cell provider website (and add a PIN on top of passcode, if supports that), bank account(s), other financial services.
EDIT: every account I have has a random password. And two-factor turned on where supported. Only passwords I know are the two accounts on my Mac and the passcode to my iPhone and iPad (and all these are 12 characters or more, upper/lower, special, numbers), and the password manager.

Haven’t used public WiFi - only had the tablet a couple of weeks it’s brand new

Nobody knows my iCloud login username let alone could of got the password and the person logging in was a couple hundred of miles away from where I live, it’s so bizarre I have changed my apple password. I’m not sure what else to do

Not sure there is anything else you really need to do
You did well in changing your password yourself from a separate source rather than the popup
You obviously have 2-factor turned on and it worked as intended

Okay something else really strange just happened and I am now thinking of factory resettting this thing and returning it to the shop I just uploaded some photos from my sd card from my DSLR camera and when I was looking through them a voice playback happened on one of the pictures of me talking - the weird thing is this is a still picture no audio and 100% not a video I have no idea how my voice played back with this picture it was 1 sentence and it isn’t doing it again when I go on the picture, there was no video taking before the picture or anything like that - has anyone got an explanation for this I am kind of freaked out and seriously regretting this I-pad purchase if I factory reset would that get rid of any spyware that may be in my device also when viewing photos there’s a loading wheel at the top the whole time is that normal
