I think I'm in trouble.

Pulled my MBP out of my backpack, and i heard rattling coming from the Super drive... The curtain material of the drive opening looks like something just went in..
Put a CD in, it doesn't run well... like it goes 'jut jut jut' and makes some cranky noise. Turned MBP upside down, heard the rattle, and try putting CD in - it doens't go in.

Is there a way to open up the Super drive? or that's a nono. Just to fix it is gonna cost me HEAPS :(

The Msp
Heaps? Well, unless you got the MBP in January of last year when it was announced, you should be under the 1-year warranty. Can't you just take it in to Apple and have them fix it for free?

I got it in December 06,

but yeah, doesn't the 1 yr warranty only covers factory faults?
This is probably my own mistake, something went in... :(

phew. fixed it.
it was a piece of plastic ring.. the one you get when you buy a spindle of 50 dvds and it has the plastic ring to hold it in place...
Guess it somehow got in.
But I flipped the MBP around and could feel it roll down to the bottom right corner. Then I used my credit card to sweep it out :)

yay saved a few hundred bucks
