I have no idea what, but something's making my iPhone 5 die super fast, out of this list, what's most likely to cause it? ImageUploadedByTapatalk 21360697343.301585.jpg

I would put a dollar on Stride, myself.

Why don't you delete those 2 and try it for a day?

Just curious - Why do you think it's an app? Most battery killers I've seen are related to calendar and mail sync issues.

I would be checking mail for a stuck message in outbox, disabling Exchange/Gmail/iCloud accounts that sync (ActiveSync) etc, and see if that helps calm things down first.

What does BTstack do, anyone know?

quick search on google:

BTstack stands for BlueToothstack. in other words, its a process that allows you to connect items such as bluetooth keyboards, or your apple magic mouse to the ipod for use instead of the touch keyboard, or touch screen.

Same here. ip5 on 6.1 JB. I used to leave the house around 6:30A and by the time I went to bed that night I would usually be in the 50-55% range. Now I will be down around 50% by noon. I did not have similar issues on 6.1 prior to the JB. So I guess I need to weed out which tweak is causing issues.

Running BTStack on my iPad4. No battery issues.

There are some that seem to get very upset that I tell you this but it is the jailbreak it's self. I spent a couple days on this and I'm sure of it! Please let us know if you find different and keep in mind a fairly new iPhone 5 should last up to 30hrs with average use.

That's what it was for me too. Turn off Exchange until 6.1.2 is out.

TS I don't believe is any one of those, prob the exchange bug?

Oh newb you don't know what you are talking about. You are SO wrong :apple:

Get ready to be attacked and insulted by adm3rd. His, and his buddy's, experience are universal and apply to everyone who has jailbroken.

Thanks for the heads up, but don't worry, I can handle it.
Also, there is always a "buddy" w this type of posters

My battery life on iPhone 5 which was never that good on stock is no better or worse under evasi0n jailbreak.

Despite your opinion, I believe that most who are jailbroken will say the same.

One reason that some such as you imagine that the jailbreak worsens battery life is because there are more things to fiddle with on a jailbroken phone than a stock phone.
So, pick it up more often, check your setup more often, use it more = kill the battery quicker.
I know this is true in my case.

Define "average use" no iPhone I've had to date lasts more than maybe 11-14 hours of what I consider average use including the 5 stock AND jailbroken. I'm guessing you consider average use checking the time every couple hours :D

Something is killing mine worse than this today (only started today) it went From 60% to flat in under 2 hours!! Exchange was turned off and I haven't installed anything over the couple of days. I left the house at 7 and by 8.30 it was at 15%. By 9 it was totally flat. Not good

For more info, when I charged by phone last night it got hot, really hot! When I took it off charge the battery drained just as quickly. I put it back on charge and this time it remained cool and battery drain was normal.

Is there an app that can show battery discharge rate?

My app for checking the battery status and discharge is BatteryDetective.

Seems to be the same for me- I thought maybe he could have some truth to the something causing it as mine was dying pretty quick.

However the other day i rarely used my phone and by 9-10 it was still at 75%. So it def didn't die quickly lol. But today used not to much but was on the phone itself for awhile - 5 right now 19%

I have done a lot of testing and really the only reason I have signed up for this forum is to debunk adm3rd's fear mongering, because I have seen in more than a few threads, his relentless stubbornness regarding jailbreak battery drain.

I am not saying he is without credibility, maybe him and his buddy have had a similar experience to each other, but it is not the same with everyone.

This was my experience with the evasi0n jailbreak. I have an iPhone 5:
All of these tweaks were purchased, non-hacked

-Installed Jailbreak: no noticeable battery drain
-Installed lots of tweaks: considerable battery drain
-Uninstalled Auxo: no change
-Uninstalled Zephyr: no change
-Uninstalled Intelliscreenx: no change
-Uninstalled HD theme/icons/ui (Dune): very slight improvement barely noticeable
-Uninstalled Barrel: HUGE change. Back to battery life pre-jailbreak. 5% decrease per hour with medium to heavy usage, including bluetooth audio, video recording, tweeting pictures, google maps driving directions navigation, findmyfriends, etc.
-Reinstalled intelliscreenx just to make sure: no change. Still pre-jailbreak battery life. Unplugged my phone at 2pm and now at 3am it's at 36%.

So, in my case, I think Barrel was the culprit. But either way, the jailbreak itself is not the cause for battery drain. It's the tweaks you install that make the difference. So, adm3rd, is wrong.

I hope this helped!

Guys,

I *heartily* recommend "top". With that, you can find the culprit much-much easier - as I've did with the 3gs 6.1.3 locationd bug.
