I own an iPhone 5. I have had some androids before, but eventually came back.
I'm seeing a lot of GS3s around and although I don't care for the software (im fine with IOS) I cant help but keep staring.

The conclusion i came to is that the 4.8 inch screen is just awesome.
I always told myself 4 inches would be enough. It is for the most part but I think i would jump at the chance of a 4.5 inch iPhone. Hopefully the actual phone woulden't be too big.

Anyone else share a similiar experience?

Apple offers a range of different sizes in, literally, every other lineup. I don't understand why they refuse to do the same with the iPhone.

Time's might be a-changin', though, under Cook's watch. He's broken a few traditions already, including product release cycles, allowing employees to have a "Google-like" 2 week "freedom" to innovate, firing a staple executive (Forestall), etc.

Who knows.

I want a Galaxy phone simply for the sweet flip cover....lol I really wish Apple made a "smart cover" for the iPhone.

I think both the cheap iPhone and the larger iPhone will come to pass in 2013/2014.....and I welcome both.

I've never been a fan of the "recycle old models" approach - and, aside from the iPad 2 (which is soon gone), the iPhone line is the only place Apple does this....

I think we'll see an iPhone lineup like this:

cheap iPhone 16GB (Free/$299)
cheap iPhone 32GB ($99/$399)
iPhone # 16GB/32GB/64GB (Current pricing model)
iPhone + 16GB/32GB/64GB (add $100 to current pricing model)

Each of these is updated each year and any existing inventory will be sold off on sale until gone.

I think this would be more attractive to consumers and allow Apple to reach more people (with the cheaper iPhone) while maintaining a nice profit margin overall (with the iPhone "+").....you know people will pay the extra $100 for the larger iPhone....when it probably won't cost all that much more to make.

I wonder if the ipad mini would of happened under Jobs.

Anyway, if apple does go bigger im wondering how they will go about the resolution. Kind of tricky considering they dont want to hurt the developers.

Are the Samsung flip covers the same as the Apple smart covers, that would be neat on a phone. :)

My opinion on the next generation iPhones is that 2014 is the year that Apple has another original iPhone moment. Well, I really hope so. :)

Not quite the same - I just like that flip cover look.....am trying to find one for my iPhone that doesn't fall apart or get crappy reviews!

its over rated and terribly inconvenient, at least on my note 2 and gs3

the flip cover looks professional, but isn't practical at all, i wish it detached kind of like the ipad smart cover

These are the best Ive seen, had one for my 3GS, stunning but not cheap.

Haha - There's an elago one and a spigen one I'm checking out on Amazon...like both companies, and have multiple cases by each....there's a significant price difference in the two though as well as difference in materials....

We shall see ;)

One time when I pulled out my SGS3, a few people around me were simply amazed at the size of the screen. They were all iPhone users.

I currently have a 4.6 inch screen, although with the onscreen buttons it's more like 4.3

I'd love a device that had 4.8 inches of usable space, Ive heard the Motorola Phone by Google will be bigger so I'll see.
