I took the earbuds off my Powerbeats Pro and a part fell out of the left headphone (see photo). It looks like it was glued in place.

I used a torch to see if a similar part was in the right headphone but I can't see it. Maybe it fell out sometime in the past. The headphones don't sound any different but the part must perform some function otherwise Apple wouldn't have put it there.

Can anyone shed any light or has similar happened to your Powerbeats Pro? I bought them in 2019 but they are still in warranty. I am wonderring whether I should return them.

Weird. Did you get it fixed?

I've had to have mine replaced via warranty, still have the only one earbud charging issue (not the reason they were replaced), have not had this happen yet.

I am beginning to think that these headphones (from a build standpoint) are junk...

I haven't called Apple but I will do and report back. They perform the same and I like the product but getting them replaced under warranty is sensible as something is obviously wrong if a part falls out of them.

I also had previous problems with them on planes. The 'B' button would stop working sometimes although I have been on a flight with them today and they were fine.

I will update this thread when I've spoken to Apple. Good to know you got yours replaced.

Very small picture and no reference scale. But I suspect it's the thin layer from the tube where the eartip sits on. It protects the inside from dust, sweat or earwax. Very important piece as I lose mine with Beats X.. Months later it starts rattling and losing sound while I use it for running. Presumably my sweat goes from my ear, into the internal speaker and no thin layer to stop it.

I have mine replaced under warranty for the one bud charging issue. Seems like they clearly know about this problem and didn't question me before setting me up with a box to be send to collect them.
