Something of notification center that is not logical to me

Hi, all:

I installed and tried to play with IOS5 since this morning when it was officially released. Everything is pretty good except one issue with the notification center.

Here is the problem:

Suppose you received several (>=2) emails, it is all going to be listed at lock screen at the first time. But after you read one of them. You will not see any of them in the lock screen anymore.

I still feel it is better to delete the email that is been read from the list, and keep all the rest visible to user as new "notification." A good example of such scheme is from “LOCKINFO.”

The above is just my idea. If anyone wants to discuss this, please join me.

Yeah, I see what you are saying.

On the other hand, the thinking may have been that you are presented with the list of unread messages on the lock screen to quickly scan. If you jump into the mail app, you'll check the ones that are important to you. The rest remain in Notification Center until you've read them.

For people that receive a lot of e-mail it could be extremely annoying to have every message I've never read persist on the lock screen.

It could be an interesting option to offer in the future. All of this stuff is brand-new. They will definitely iterate on it as they learn what works and what doesn't.

Go into Settings, Notifications, and Mail, you probably have "View in Lock Screen" set to On, but Notification Center set to Off?

That's how I have mine....viewing in lock screen is just a temporary thing until you log into your phone. Viewing on the lock screen is NOT the same thing as the notification center. To view the notification center, swipe down from the top of the screen after it's unlocked. You can switch Notification Center on for Mail, then your emails will all be there. When you switch Notification Center for Mail on, you can choose how many unread messages it will display....

Thanks for your opinion, I agree with the junk mail part. It was a disaster for me click the little cross to delete all the emails from "LOCKINFO". So it should be a good idea to have a switch to toggle it.

Well, I think I didn't make my point quite clear in the post. My real thought is that when you received multiple emails, there will be a priority to process some of them. Sometimes, I will read several most important ones, but I still want to read the others later, and I need the notification system to help me remember that I have several unread emails.

The current situation is that, once you unlock the phone, all the unread email will not be shown in the lock screen notification center, and this is where I feel not logical. Though the emails are listed in the springboard notification center, it is really not convenient to unlock my phone, and then swipe down from top to see whats in the notification center.

It is better to let me know which emails are still in my mailbox by only clicking my power button.
