After saying I haven't had any problems with Apple Music for a while.

This afternoon Music on my iPhone has gone completely crazy, Using it fine without any issues during the morning. All of a sudden, I was asked for my iCloud password a few minutes later the signup Apple Music screen appeared. Closed off the app, opened it up again. The same thing happened. Restarted my phone, all seemed to be fine. Worked for a few hours.

As I was about to leave work, same thing happened again. However this time the Music app seemed to crash, I couldn't open settings (I was going to turn off Apple Music etc). Finally managed to open the Music app, tried to play something, nothing, Music I've saved via Apple Music, streaming, radio or my own purchases from iTunes.

Restarted the phone again. Worked again.

Tonight, couldn't open the Music app, iCloud settings wouldn't open, Music settings wouldn't open. Again I managed to open the Music app, wouldn't play anything like before. Only thing which worked, was restarting the phone.

S thought I would restore, set the phone back up again. Still happening..

Damn it..

I haven't installed any new apps, nothing has changed. Added a few albums, but can't see how that would cause a problem. Running out of ideas.

No such problems on my Mac's or iPad. Only my iPhone. Run out of ideas!

Just thought I would update this thread. Haven't experienced anymore problems since Saturday. Must have been an issue with Apple Music. Nothing was reported on the Apple Service Status page. Wish Apple would pay more attention on updating the page.

I'll post what I said in another forum--has happened to me twice since Friday. Friday was my iPad. This time to both my iPad and my iPhone. The only way I could get iCloud services restored was to reboot both devices. Not just affecting AM but also iCloud backup and basically logging into iCloud--when trying to check iCloud through Settings, Settings will freeze. Perhaps something introduced in the last IOS update? Pretty confident it is Apple since it affected both iPad and iPhone.

I am having the same issue and I can not listen to anything on my iPhone even after resetting it keeps on telling me to sign up and in settings I can not go into Music & App Store section. Another problem I have is when I click on Music on my iPhone it does not load and freezes my phone.

Why is this major issue on the front page? Mods HELLO!

Same issue here too. Thinking it's an issue in 8.4.1 also having issues in the App Store too. Having to reboot an awful lot lately. :(

Strange I updated 8.4.1 it worked fine but 3 days it just went crazy I wonder how many have reported about this issue.

I've experienced the same problem again over yesterday and this morning. My issue seems to be related to the Radio, if I play Beats1 or another one of the pre-set stations it will play fine until I stop listening. Then I experience the same as I posted above.

iPad is also affected now, where on Friday it was only my iPhone.

I haven't listened to Beats 1 in a few days yet still repeatedly have the issue. Sometimes I do nothing and within minutes I can't download any apps from the App Store. When the phone is in this state, I've noticed opening iTunes Store app results in opening a blank screen that's crashed.

Just had it happen to me just now. Checked the App Store and iTunes. Exactly this same thing happens as you mentioned.

I had the same issue on Friday and over the weekend. I did a reboot on the iPhone and then went to the Apple Music tab for my account. I clicked on the "view Apple ID" tab and entered my password. I haven't had the issue since.

Certainly affecting AM and I think it must be from the last update. But also affects many other iCloud services--maybe some kind of authentication issue introduced by the update? But it continues to happen to me on my iPhone and iPad, locks up when trying to access iCloud via settings--and today I noticed I could access iCloud in settings but not iTunes--which of course meant no AM. Also affected my automatic app updates and iCloud backups. Reboot certainly solves the issue temporarily but hardly a good way to operate. Hopefully the next update will fix it.

New error this afternoon "Operation Stopped, the server is not correctly configured" getting this on whatever isn't downloaded to my phone.

Rebooted the phone, still not working. This is so annoying..

After a very long call with a Senior iOS advisor at Apple I think we've found the the solution to a lot of Apple Music issues.

This worked for me, hopefully it will for you as well -

Remember you will lose anything music related in your phone. Just a warning to you before going any further.

Close Music
Then
Settings - iTunes & App Store and logout of your Apple ID.
Then
Settings - General - Usage - Manage Storage - and remove any Music.
Then
Restart iPhone

Double check that you don't have any playlists, downloaded music on your iPhone. If you do, then restart again.

Now -

Sign back into iTunes & App Store,
Then
Apple Music and turn on iCloud Music Library
Then
Open Music, and wait for your music and playlists to sync.

I'll be interested in knowing if this worked for anyone else.

This seems to have worked for me. Have been having the same issue with an iPad Mini running 8.4.1 - al other devices running iOS 9 betas or El Cap have been working fine. This was extremely frustrating. Thanks for the tip!

That's good to hear. I haven't experienced the any issues with Apple Music (fingers cross and touch wood) all day.

Giving this a try for my iPhone--for my iPad I already tried a settings reset--and so far that seems to have worked but kind of a pain--this solution is much easier so hopefully it will work.

Thanks for posting this! I was having weird issues with Apple Music the last 2 days on my iPhone 5s. Tried the above last night, and Apple Music is behaving so far.

Still not working even after connecting to my iMac and Restore iPhone wtf gives? Come on where is 8.4.2.

I'm pleased it's helped you.

It's happening to me as well. Can't access any settings for the iCloud, iTunes store, music.. Can't log out from the AM app either, nothing happens
