More like it's "cool" to think the phone you bought is the bestest evar, and anyone who thinks otherwise is stupid dumb. Cuz if they were smart, they'd get the phone you got. Cuz you're smart. And they're not. Cuz they got that other phone. Which means they're dumb.
This is one of the more brilliant comments I've seen recently. It illustrates the "false logic" lots of people follow: "I'm smart, I like
X (whatever
X is) -- therefore, everyone who likes
X is also smart, and, logically, everyone who doesn't like
X is either stupid or evil". As if buying an Audi vs. a BMW, or liking the Yankees vs. the Mets, or voting red or blue is an IQ test to be either passed or failed. It couldn't possibly be that different people have different priorities, experiences, and are, well, different.
Have these people never met someone who liked the same book/movie/restaurant they do, but, in their opinion, was either a complete jerk, or dumb as a box of rocks? I sure have. Hopefully that doesn't, logically, mean that I fall into one of those categories.
