for those who will have either an iPhone/iTouch and a tablet...

I am assuming that since the tablet will run the same applications as the iPhone and iTouch that you will just log into your same account that you already have. Will you be required to purchase the applications again to use on your tablet, or will it recognize that you have already purchased the application in the past and can just download it for free on the "iPad". Also, let's say that you have an application that receives push notifications, will the notification come to both devices because that could get overwhelming to have to read/close notifications twice every time something happens.

Also, will they bring some sort of "cloud" computing to the iPhone/Tablet application world so that if you have like checkbook software on both of the devices and you update one, that it will update the other?

just sort of starting thinking about all of this and haven't really heard anybody talk about it, but I think it is a huge issue that Apple needs to address properly

thoughts?

"Between the Hedges"
I am sure Apple has thought about all of this
But since we don't have a clue what the mythical tablet is or does at this point, we just don't know
Making any assumptions about it running or not running this or that are premature
We will just have to wait and see

I assume if the non-existent tablet uses the iPhone OS and iTunes App Store apps then you won't have to rebuy. The apps will be authorized on multiple machines much like iTunes music.

I am pretty sure that it would sync app purchases based on your iTunes account.

I think push notifications would be device specific, so you would have the ability to turn on/off notifications on said tablet and iPhone/iPod touch individually.

I also think that each device would be updated individually as opposed to the checkbook software you mentioned.

Not that I know, or that anyone knows except Apple at this point, just my thoughts.
