iPhone Something with my iphone 6 is keeping itunes from recognizing it...

Thought it was an itunes issue. Uninstalled/installed itunes a dozen times. No luck. Ended up wiping my PC and doing a fresh Windows 10 install. Still didn't recognize. Did some other things. Nothing. Plugged my phone into my laptop (I use it to backup/sync my wife's iphone). Still nothing.

Has to be something with the phone. Any known apps/tweaks keep itunes from recognizing the phone?

I did those things. Tried 2 different cables (one of which I use for my wife's phone). The laptop detects my wife's phone but won't detect mine using the same cable.
 
If I remove Cydia substrate (which installs all my tweaks) I can just reinstall them later right? Maybe a tweak is causing the issue.
 
Had this issue with my 6 plus. Something with the jailbreak cause this issue and was not tweak related. The weird thing is I could sync photos just fine. The only way to fix is a restore.

Damn. I don't want to do that cause I don't have a recent backup. That's all I'm trying to do is backup since I haven't done it in a while.
 
Another interesting thing I found. Settings>Software Update... Just sits at "checking for update..."

Wonder if that's related to my iTunes issue.
 
Just read that. Thanks. Can I backup in DFU mode? I tried connecting to iTunes in safe mode. Still won't recognize.
 
Made a little headway. Installed iTunes 12.0.1 and now it recognizes the phone but when backup either sits there for an hour or freezes.
